Leuven - Tom Southey (live)

This was the first time I had met Tom, on a calm and sunny Spring afternoon. We set up in a small grass area in a beach carpark where no one was around. Tom ran through once, looked at me and shrugged, “that’s good for me!”. He was one of those artists that was happy with every take. I hassled him into doing another 5 takes, half for safety, and half because I just wanted to hear him sing again. Tom’s a king, gentle, insanely talented and humble man. Loved working with him, and now being able to call him a friend.

Tom has also come on board to record audio for Mahogany Sessions with me, which has been a breeze.
